Fairmont Jaipur opened in 2012 at Kukas, built in Rajputana and Mughal style with pink sandstone facades, jharokha balconies and hand-painted interiors. The architecture does enough on its own that decor budgets go further here than at a plain banquet property. The Grand Ballroom is the headline space and one of Rajasthan’s largest pillar-less halls. It holds up to 1,520 theatre style across 10,678 sq ft, and 600 in cluster seating. A large pre-function area sits alongside it for registration and cocktails.

The ballroom divides. Viti takes 952 and Vruti 476, so a mehendi and a sangeet can run at the same time without either bleeding into the other. Check whether they are sections of the Grand Ballroom before adding the three figures together. Outdoors, the Amarsar Lawns hold 1,000 seated or 1,500 standing. This is where the baraat, pheras and gala dinners happen, with the Aravalli hills behind. Booking the lawns and ballroom together is quoted at around 3,000 guests.

The smaller rooms cover everything else. Avi takes 220, Sulek 180, Hela 50, Adhira 48, Maira and Yamir 36 each, and Sohalia is an 18-seat boardroom. There is also Zui, a marquee space the hotel names but does not publish figures for.

The stay runs to 245 rooms and suites, with the smallest category at 549 sq ft, which is unusually generous. Timber doors, private foyers and vaulted ceilings run through them. Hotel rooms are given over as bride and groom changing rooms during functions. Worth knowing before you plan: catering and alcohol are in-house only and outside caterers are not permitted, but outside decorators are welcome and you can bring your own DJ or use theirs. That combination gives you design freedom while the food stays with Fairmont’s team. Overnight functions are supported.

Fairmont also runs its Lifestyle Cuisine programme, healthy menus built around dietary requirements using herbs from the hotel garden, which is useful for older guests on a multi-day wedding.

The hotel sits about 28 km from Jaipur International Airport and 19.9 km from Jaipur Junction, roughly 40 and 35 minutes on NH 248. It is on the same Kukas belt as Le Méridien and The Leela for a Destination Wedding in Jaipur, so Amber Fort and Jaigarh are close without city traffic. October to March is the window for the lawns. Days stay pleasant and evenings cool enough to run late. April to June gets too hot for afternoon functions in the open. Because the ballroom holds 1,520 on its own, a monsoon wedding here needs no compromise. December and January book out early, so plan eight to twelve months ahead.
