About The Galaxy Banquets & Resorts, Jaipur
The Galaxy Banquets & Resorts is a purpose-built resort and convention centre at Kalwada on Ajmer Road, and it is the only venue in this set designed around a hall rather than a palace.
That hall is the point. The Galaxy Banquet runs to 20,000 sq ft with no pillars anywhere in it and a 32 ft ceiling, which the property claims as Rajasthan’s largest pillar-less banquet space. It holds up to 2,200 at a reception and 2,000 theatre style.
The ceiling height matters more than it sounds. The venue is the first in India with a motion-controlled hoist system, so decor can be flown in and moved rather than built on scaffolding. For a sangeet with an aerial performance or a reveal-style entry, almost nothing else in Jaipur can do it.
Outdoors, The Galaxy Lawn at the front is the largest space on the property at 30,000 sq ft, holding up to 2,800. Combined with the banquet hall, the venue quotes 3,000 seated and 6,000 standing, which is why it competes with the polo-ground properties despite being an indoor-led venue.
Paradise Pool Lawn takes 800 across 17,040 sq ft, the right size for a sangeet or cocktail evening. The Rigel Banquet holds 300, the Venus Lawn 250, the Courtyard 200, and the Amari Banquet and Inner PFA take 175 each. The stay runs to 160 rooms and suites: 83 Deluxe, 74 Superior, 2 Presidential Suites and a single Royal Suite. Worth knowing there is exactly one Royal Suite, since that is the room a couple will ask for.
Worth knowing before you plan: both in-house and outside caterers are permitted, outside decorators are permitted, and outside alcohol is permitted, which together give you unusual control over food, design and bar for a venue at this scale. An outside DJ is permitted. There are dedicated bridal and groom changing rooms.
Because the main space is indoor and air conditioned, The Galaxy is less season-dependent than the lawn venues on a Destination Wedding in Jaipur. The lawns still want October to March, but a 2,000-guest monsoon wedding is genuinely workable here in a way it is not at most Kukas properties.
The property sits about 25 km from both Jaipur International Airport and Jaipur Junction, roughly 40 minutes either way on the Ajmer Road side of the city. Destination Weddings India works directly with the property and manages venue booking, room blocks, decor and on-ground coordination end to end.
