About The Leela Palace, Jaipur
The Leela Palace Jaipur opened in 2021 on 8 acres of landscaped gardens at Kukas, near Amber Fort on the Delhi–Jaipur highway. It is a modern homage to Jaipur’s royal mahals rather than a converted palace, with white facades, intricate jaalis, silver-tipped chhatris and marble corridors inlaid with parchin kari metalwork.
Being purpose-built matters practically. Service corridors, power, kitchen capacity and air conditioning were designed for large events from the start, which is not true of the genuine heritage properties in this set. Twelve event spaces cover more than 50,000 sq ft. Sundarban Lawns is the largest at 33,264 sq ft, holding up to 1,600 guests, and it takes the pheras or reception with the Aravalli hills behind it.
Indoors, the Vikram Aditya Ballroom holds up to 800 across 10,906 sq ft. It splits into two halves, Vikram Aditya 1 taking 500 and Vikram Aditya 2 taking 275, so a mehendi and a sangeet can run at the same time. A 4,366 sq ft pre-function area sits alongside it.
Kanishka Bagh is the second garden at 7,440 sq ft, and the Hawa Mahal space takes up to 200. Nahargarh and Jaigarh hold 65 each, suited to a haldi or a family dinner, and the Studio and two meeting rooms take 12 apiece.
The stay is the strongest in this set: 200 rooms, villas and suites including 41 Royal Villas with private plunge pools, 23 Royal Villas with courtyards, 44 Grand Villas and a 4,628 sq ft Maharaja Suite. A full guest list stays on site with room to spare. In the evenings the hotel runs dharohar on the lawns, a gala of Rajasthani folk music, dance and art, which doubles as ready-made entertainment for a welcome dinner.
Worth knowing before you plan: catering is in-house and decorators come from an approved panel. Valet parking is available. The hotel sits about 30 km from Jaipur International Airport and 23 km from Jaipur Junction, on the same Kukas belt as Le Méridien and Fairmont, so Amer Fort, Jaigarh and Jal Mahal are close without city traffic on a Destination Wedding in Jaipur.
October to March is the window. Days stay pleasant and evenings cool enough for Sundarban Lawns to run late. April to June gets too hot for afternoon functions in the open. Through the monsoon the Vikram Aditya Ballroom carries the indoor load at up to 800. December and January book out early, so plan eight to twelve months ahead.
Destination Weddings India works directly with the property and manages venue booking, room blocks, decor and on-ground coordination end to end.
